Who knew?

Who knew that Amarillo had blizzards?  I certainly didn't.  But that's what we had for a day and a half.  Daniel couldn't go to work for two days.  We didn't even go outside the first day because the wind and snow was so bad.  But after the worst of it, Noah couldn't wait to play in the snow.  

Clifford the Big Red Dog

For Clifford's birthday our library system had a party for him.  So we went to meet Clifford and help him celebrate.  The kids had fun seeing Clifford but Sophie didn't like being so close to him.

The circus came to town

The circus came to Amarillo so we decided to go.  I have to say that I wasn't too impressed.  At the half way point Noah said, "Can we go home now?"  The best parts were the dogs jumping through hoops and the elephants at the end.  At least we've experienced it once, so we don't have to do it next year!

Noah turns 4!

Noah turned 4 on February 2.  He had an Iron Man birthday party.  I can't believe my little man is 4!  He's growing up so fast.  Here are a few pictures from his special day.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

I know this is late, but better late than never right?  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year.  Here are a few pictures of our family from the Christmas season.

Thanksgiving in Georgia

We went to Georgia for Thanksgiving this year.  We stayed with Daniel's dad and stepmom in their house in the north Georgia mountains.  They have an alpaca farm at their house, and they also have ducks, chickens, and dogs.  The kids had a blast feeding the animals every morning.  Noah even got to gather the chicken eggs everyday.  Here are some pictures of our adventures on the farm.

Halloween

This year Noah was Iron Man for Halloween and Sophie was Pebbles.  I made Sophie's costume, which I think was very cute.  She even had a bone in her hair!  We got to celebrate two nights in a row because our church had a Fall Festival on the 30th and then we went trick or treating on Halloween night.  Here is the super hero Iron Man!

Preschool

Noah started preschool last week.  A few moms from my church ward and stake decided to do a co-op preschool together.  We are using a curriculum called Funsteps that one of the moms found online.  We are doing it 2 days a week and each mom is teaching one week at a time.  I did it last week, and it was lots of fun.  Ok, the first day was a little crazy, but the second day was much better.  Noah really enjoyed it.  Here are a few pictures from Noah's first day of preschool.

Sophie's Birthday Party

Sophie had an owl birthday party.  It was really fun to decorate for it.  I even made her cupcake owl cake, which was easier than I thought it would be.  My mom and dad came out for the party, and my mom made Sophie's owl outfit and some really cute owl cookies.  She also made Noah an owl shirt and some stuffed owls for party favors and decorations.  We had a great time celebrating with Sophie's family and friends.
